Academics [Field]: Specialized non-applied knowledge such as theoretical and applied sciences, social sciences, transhumanities, etc.
Art [Field]: Create and evaluate artistic endeavors
Athletics [Field]: Aptitude regarding physical movement in various gravities, and used to avoid being physically harmed
Deceive: Lying, misdirection, and other subtle ways of manipulating others without their knowledge
Demolitions:* Making, planting, and disarming explosive devices
Fight [Field]: Close-quarters and melee combat
Hardware [Field]:* Ability to build, repair, physically hack, and upgrade equipment
Infiltrate: Avoiding detection, sleight of hand, and creating misdirection
Infosec:* Electronic intrusion and counter intrusion techniques, encryption and decryption
Interest [Field]: Any topic that captures your attention and isn’t covered by another skill
Interface: Using computerized electronic devices and software
Investigate: Capacity for detailed research, interviewing, and other information gathering and collating skills
Kinesics: Ability to read other people via empathy and non-vocal communication

Provoke: Intimidating, scaring, or otherwise hostilely manipulating others
Psychosurgery:* Using machine-aided psychological techniques to repair, damage, or manipulate the psyche

Somatics: Ability to use morph’s strength and its capacity to endure physical harm
Survival [Field]: Endure and thrive in various environments
Willpower: Ability to keep one’s composure; used in horror tests

A * Indicates a skill must be taken at Average or greater to be used

[Field] represents a specialty for a skill. When rolling one of these skills, if the situation is general—where the field doesn’t matter, just having basic training or education that skill provides—or if the field applies to the situation, then the skill is rolled at normal. On the other hand, if the situation isn’t general and you don’t have the necessary field for action, you might still be able to default the skill: roll the skill at –2 (or Mediocre [+0], whichever is higher). In some cases the field needed for a given situation might be so different from what a character knows that there’s no reasonable justification for defaulting the action. (This is the same as not having a skill that requires it to be taken to use.)
